Enclose a Gift Card in a Snow Globe!
This year, I gave someone a gift card that had a snow globe design. I decided it would be a neat trick to present the card actually enclosed in a faux snow globe!
I started with one of those globe-shaped Coke bottles that appear around the holidays.
After washing it by hand and drying it, I cut off the cap end and also cut a slit so that the card could be inserted into the globe.
The card will bend — the globe is almost too small to hold the card!
Toss in some Styrofoam bits , then use a glue gun to attach some white felt or fleece, and then attach the whole assembly to a felt-covered container (plastic cup or storage container; whatever you can find that is about the right size and shape).
Again using a glue gun, attach trim at the bottom edge and top edge. Add a felt ball and some trim at the top and it’s all done!
Hope the recipient doesn’t get too frustrated trying to get the gift card out of its holder! Tee hee!
