Yet another fabric journal…
I have been ill, so haven’t been crafting as much lately. So the only way I can keep posting is to pull out some old projects. For this post, I dug out another one of the Teesha-Moore-inspired fabric journals I’ve been making for the past few months. I finished this one sometime this past summer.
My books don’t quite have the rough-and-random appeal of Teesha’s. This one, for example, has a consistent theme (songbirds) and has a consistent color palette. Everything is a little too neat, also. When I tried to vary the size of the front panels to make the book asymmetrical, it was too close and it just looks like a mistake rather than a whimsical, intentional chaos.
Still, I like it. This one is designed to have pages sewn into it, so there are no binder rings inside.
The copper bird featured on the front of the journal is the top of a vintage jello mold.
I poked some holes in it for the stitches.
Some more details…
I have lots more craft ideas, so hopefully I’ll soon feel well enough to get some more projects completed!
